OUT NOW: The Coriolis Effect – Book 2 in the Spiral Mind Trilogy

The Coriolis Effect Copies

It’s finally out in the world! As of 30th October 2023, The Coriolis Effect is officially released! What a journey it’s been. I first started writing The Coriolis Effect back in 2016 and it hadn’t even got its title then. Back in the day, I was still studying English and Psychology and religiously listening to the Baker Street Babes Podcast for inspiration. If you’d told me then that Baker Street Babe Amy Thomas would one day give my Sherlock Holmes novels a stellar review – you can read it here, but I still need to pinch myself – I would never have believed you. Now, I’m so incredibly grateful for the amazing things that have happened to me thanks to these little books I started writing so long ago. Maybe life really imitates art.

Thanks

Firstly, I’d like to say thank you to my friends and family who have supported me along the way, in particular Tom Malpas, for always being my first reader of anything I write and for believing in my creative projects, no matter how crazy they are. I would also like to give a massive thanks to Jacob North, my writing bud bud, who was my flatmate when I finished my first draft of the trilogy during my Creative Writing MA in Durham. Nothing like a good plotting session at Leonard’s Coffee House. In addition, I would love to thank my fellow Durham Creative Writing alumna Lucy Atkinson, for all the inspiration during lockdown, running Fey Fellows Podcast with me, and for sharing all her insights into the writing industry with me. And last, but not least, I would like to thank Richard Sharpe, who first came up with the title for The Coriolis Effect and has been a great creative support for Book 3 already.

On the professional side, I’d like to give a special thanks to Nicko Vaughan and Steve Emecz from MX Publishing, for giving me this wonderful opportunity and for helping readers find Spiral Mind and The Coriolis Effect all around the world. I’d also like to thank all my amazing backers on Kickstarter for supporting my trilogy so generously. It’s been such a great experience, especially since this was my first project on the platform. 201% funded – some very fitting numbers in there!
